The person who signs your report
Hey there, I'm Joseph Stephens, and I founded Spectralgraph, an independent AI research lab and validation tool. It's a one-man shop: I'm the founder, I built the instrument, and I sign every report it puts out. My background is out of industrial non-destructive testing. Visual, dye penetrant, magnetic particle, ultrasonic, eddy current, radiographic: I trained across all six methods of that trade, and have since spent a career in enterprise IT operations on top of it. NDT is the work of proving a weld is sound or a casting is whole without cutting the piece open. Spectralgraph is just those same principles applied to an AI medium. I aim to give you peace of mind that the model you serve isn't one confident lie away from disaster, and if it is, I show you exactly where the risk lies.
The honest reason this company exists is that I was looking for a way to take care of my family. I built it in the hours around a day job, and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. But the reason I picked this particular work comes from the trade that raised me: nobody inspects a weld for fun. You check it because somebody's going to drive over that bridge, or fly in that plane. AI is sitting inside insurance claims and bank operations and hospital paperwork right now, answering with all the confidence in the world, and hardly anybody measures the model itself. The big institutions can pay national-firm prices to have that looked at. The community bank and the county mutual mostly can't, and those are the places where most of us actually keep our money and our coverage. So I built an instrument they can afford, and I run it the way inspection taught me to: honestly, with the limits written down.
Working with the lab is about as direct as it gets. You'll always be talking to the person who took the measurement, and when your reviewers have questions, I answer them myself, in writing, the same day, for as long as the report is in service. If the instrument can't do something, I'll tell you it can't, even when that costs me the sale.
You shouldn't have to take a stranger's word for any of this, and you don't have to. The method is published, and I encourage you to read it (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.21365655). The patent application is on file (US App. No. 19/724,790). Errors and omissions coverage is bound before any client work begins. And the sample report on this site is a full, real deliverable, so you can judge the work itself before you ever send me an email.
The mark is my own signature, traced: a flat line, one sharp needle, and a steady ring-down. It goes on every report I sign.
