Spectralgraph
The founder

The person who signs your report

I'm Joseph Stephens, and Spectralgraph is my lab. One man: I built the instrument and I sign every report it puts out. My background is industrial non-destructive testing, trained across all six methods of that trade, then a career in enterprise IT operations on top of it. NDT is the work of proving a weld is sound without cutting the piece open. This is that same principle on a different material.

Trained across the six methods:  VISUAL · DYE PENETRANT · MAGNETIC PARTICLE · ULTRASONIC · EDDY CURRENT · RADIOGRAPHIC

I was building something with AI, and the longer I looked at how it was making its decisions, the more cracks I found. I could never be sure the output wouldn't break once it was sitting in somebody's system. I couldn't take the machine's word for it, so I built a way to check whether it's making things up.

Nobody inspects a weld for fun. You check it because somebody is going to drive over that bridge. AI is answering insurance claims and bank operations and hospital paperwork right now with all the confidence in the world, and hardly anybody measures the model itself. Big institutions can pay national-firm prices to have that looked at. The community bank and the county mutual mostly can't, and that is where most of us keep our money and our coverage.

You'll always be talking to the person who took the measurement. When your reviewers have questions, I answer them myself, in writing, the same day, for as long as the report is in service. Whatever I find, I won't sugarcoat it, and I won't over or undersell it. If the instrument can't do something, I'll tell you it can't, even when that costs me the sale.

You don't have to take my word for any of it. The method is published (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.21365654), the patent application is on file (US App. No. 19/724,790), errors and omissions coverage is bound before any client work begins, and the sample report on this site is a real deliverable you can judge before you ever email me. I'm one man in Enid with no client list to protect and nothing else to sell you afterward, and what you get out of it is a measurement you can check yourself.

The Spectralgraph mark: a flat signal line with one sharp needle and a damped ring-down, drawn from Joseph Stephens' handwritten signature

The mark is my own signature, traced: a flat line with one sharp needle in it. It goes on every report I sign.

Read the report before you decide anything.
The sample report is the real deliverable, open to anyone. Questions come straight to me and get a written answer the same day.
